Rob, If you or anyone else want to ride with me this weekend, I need to know by 9 pm Friday evening. Rick N. you and your dad are invited in on this too. So far, there is only an inch of snow which makes it still ok to ride. I have some new, virgin trail sections just waiting to be ridden. wb

Ok Vinny, bring 'er on. Actually, I"ve never ridden a sports quad, so maybe it won't even be a problem. It's just that some of the trails have to be ridden pretty slow. It will be interesting to find out. Now talk it up to the other guys, and get them to come out. Regarding cold temps; we will never be more than ten minutes from the vehicles if we need to warm up. I'll wait a day or so, then post a time, meeting place, and directions. I'm thinking Sunday. I'm flexable with the time. wb

Hey Bill,
Got to check on one other person to see if he is going. This way we can give you an accurate count. I like the idea of breakfast too. hit you back tomorrow to firm up the time.

Sounds good to me. We won't be out all day. I'd say four hours at the most. It depends on how you guys like the trails and how much repeating you want to do. My normal "one lap" ride takes about 1.5 hours, and that includes riding some of the trails both ways. I've never ridden it in snow before (there is about one inch now) so don't know if we will have some hang ups or not. We'll have fun finding out. I hope somebody has a winch. ( I don't.) Even a come-along might be useful. Did I hear chainsaw? Getting excited? If you want to bring beer for AFTER THE RIDE, I'll turn the heat on in the cabin and we can "reride" there, and shoot pool on my $35 yard sale table. The indoor toilet can not be used. I have it winterized. (pipes drained). wb

Wild Bill, Count me in too! I just talked to Wolvie and let him know also. All I need is the address of the breakfast meet up place and I can just follow you all from there.

Re: Sunday ride at Wild Bill's Playground. I went up this am and did a test ride in the snow. Temp was 6 and I did not get cold, with all the body English. I was able to ride most of the trails, but didn't try the new "virgin" trails since I was alone. 4x4's should have no problems. 2 wd might have some hang ups, but nothing we can't get around. So here's the plan for this Sun am. Everybody can find Fort Loudon by mapquest.com, right?. Ok, take Rt. 75 north 3 miles to F.L. Legion. Park on lower lot if you have a trailer. Ring bell and tell them you are guests of Wild Bill. Remove your hat when entering. I'll sign you in. If you happen to be late, and we are already gone, from F.L. Legion take Rt. 75 North aprox 6 miles to Sweethingyer Rd. on left. Go aprox 1.5 miles on Sweethingyer Rd. and look for driveway up a rather steep, but short hill across from 8 ft. "deer fence". I"ll try to remember to hang an orange survey ribbon at driveway. If you don't have a vehicle with 4x4 and can't get up the driveway, just park and unload along Sweethingyer Rd. Posted sign reads "Sweethingyer Hunt Club". Just start riding and follow our tracks, and listen, and you will find us. I don't have a cell phone. Let's plan on breakfast at 8 30. That will get us riding by 9 30. I"m flexible with that time so let me know if you would like to change it. Right now, there is a 40% chance of snow Sun am. I will still be at the legion at 8:15 Coming from Shippensburg, I 81 to Rt 30 west(Chambersburg) to Ft. Loudon and the legion will probably work best. From Greencastle, Rt 16 west to Mercersburg, to Rt. 416, to Rt. 75 to Ft. Loudon will work. Did I miss anything? I'll check this site before leaving at 8am Sun. My home phone is (717) 369-4936. Hope to see you at breakfast. +

d**n, that road name is not still not coming out right. Just look for a road to the left that starts with "Sweet". ok? Sweet H20. Sweethingyer. (last try to get it right)

Testing: Just out of curiousity, I"m going to try to type that road name again: (Trying it several ways) Sweethingyer, Sweet water, Sweet H2O, Plain ole water. Watersweet.

Hey WB do you have an address for the meet up spot? I'm in WV and do not know the area and will be using GPS to get there.
Thanks!
