Is this like a spray booth? ( I honestly have no idea) Anyway, there was some kind of auto contraption in the classifieds yesterday in the patriot news and I thought of this. You can probably find it on Pennlive.com which lists all of the ads. If this isn't even close to what your looking for, sorry for wasting your time!

Basically it is a rotisserie (think chicken) for an auto body. I checked out PennLive but didn't see it - thanks for looking though!

I was kind of assuming that, but wasn't positive. yep, this thing is just a spray booth..no cooker. Here is the ad: Miscellaneous AUTOMOBILE SPRAY PAINT BOOTH: inside measurement 14'wx23'Dx9'H. Door opening 9'x9' with side entry door. Overhead and foot lights with exhaust system. Asking $4800. 774-3126
..kind of pricy, I thought you just made em' out of 2x4's and a tarp. ha

Jim, you can make a rotisserie, fairly simple. You can even get your heavy duty casters from the scrap yard. If you can give me a couple weeks, I'm making a snow plow right now for my tractor, I can help you fab one up, if your interested. I would say cost will be about $200. Scrap price is really down, under a dollar per hundred so I'm not sure what metcalf is charging now if less than 20 cents a pound you'll probably save up to $100. Just do some rough blue prints and figure out what you wanna make it out of and how you want it made.
Hooligan: a rotisserie is a machine that you mount a car body to that enables you to turn the body 360 degrees or at least 180 so you can paint, do body work, or just work on the body a lot easier, it is not a booth. Looks like two short clothes line poles that are attached together with a long pole in the middle and it sits on caster wheels for manueverability.

I was thinking about just using 2 engine stands. I will need a stand for the motor work - so buying two will only put me out the extra $70-$100. I'm not ready for a rotisserie yet - so if building one is an option we can look at it - especially with scrap so low right now.
