i've been looking into the possibility of getting the stuff necessary to do durabak beliners for jeep tubs, exteriors, interiors, skids, rock-rails, truck beds, etc.
now... before anyone trys to turn this into a durabak vs. rhino liner vs. line x vs what-ever other bed liner... there is one main advantage that durabak has that none of those other ones have: it can be repaired and touched up at home. line x, rhino and the line are all "hot sprayed" so they can't be touched up if you screw them up.
also... since durabak is a softer coating, it will "flex" with the metal offroad (so big advantage for unibody jeeps and rock-crawling rigs). a lot of people who went with rhino-liners a few years ago are running into problems with them cracking. the durabak won't have that problem.
anyway... i figured if there were enough people interested, we might be able to work a "bulk" deal with durabak.
gallons usually cost about $100-$130 or so... and jesse said he might be able to spray them in if we buy the guy and right nozzel. hopefully if we can work out a cheaper deal if we get enough people interested.

I was told that is a good product to touch up a hardtop that was scratched up a bit. They make a bunch of different colors, too. I guess a spray would have a smoother texture than a roller? It sounds like a good deal. The texture thing is one of the reasons I haven't touched up my hardtop yet, I wanted it to look like it was the factory finish.

Hey Guys,
Just bought a truck and am now trying to lay a bed liner down. Going through the forum I found this entry...could you tell me how durabak compares to Line-X? Or maybe you could recommend another alternative. With the limited research I've done...and please correct me if this is a gross misconception... the Rhino spray-in seems a bit inferior to the Line-X spray-in. (Which sucks cause it is a bit cheaper. ) Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks.
