so i am thinking about doing something along these lines for the body work on the trail rig: orange = how i want to cut the doors red = external tubes blue = internal cages (except in the back where it will show since there will be no roof) in the back, something like this: but also thought about taking a CJ rear gate and grafting it in like this: i am not sure if that is what he did... that may be a gate from a commachee that he patched. but i do like the idea of having some sort of rear piece to protect the propane tanks form any "rear penatration" if you catch my drift

yeah, well, you strap 2 10gallon propane tanks to your ass and you'll be worried about penatration too

Looks pretty good, so when ya gonna start this project? already started really... just have to finish tearing out the interior and the enginebay... i want it stripped down to just the unibody before i start cutting it up.

okay... so everything i want to do with my rig is legal to run in class 2 for the comp except cutting off the back of the body. i can cut the roof off if i am running a cage, but i can cut off any of the "frame" or hack of a section of the body itself. i can still comp-cut the flares off... but i need to leave the remainged of the body alone. should be able to cut out the wheel-wells and rebuild them. need to check on that. basically can't mess with the frame rails. just for an idea, that blue 4-door XJ is legal for class 2
