Rob, Sorry I missed your post about riding at Green Ridge. I probably would have gone. I ride there frequently. It's only about 60 miles from where I live. I have been clearing more trails on my property, and continue to upgrade to more challenging stuff as my riding confidence develops. After hunting season ( I have it leased out right now) we should get together and you can check them out. I"m in the process of developing a small mud hole and play area at this time. Wild Bill PS: Hey, I like this spell check thing. I just checked, and found that I had "mud hole" spelled incorrectly. Good thing I checked, huh?

Jess and I are still planning on going. At this point - I don't have a working quad. I would say within the next 2-3 weeks that will be all worked out. Other than that - I'm not sure who is still in/out/thinking about it.

Guys and gals, i went with Wolvie and we had a freaking great time.... We did stay at a dump but for 30 a night each it was a good time and more than worth the price of admission. I also agree at the place to stay and thats where we will be staying so count me in on this trip as the wife just pissed me off to no end and I'm going again!!!!!! Wolvie, you down? We need Big Country on this trip too, I'm sure he has Kendra in check.... LMAO LETS DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

I need to caveat this with the following disclosure, Wolvie and I will be traveling for work allot the next 6 months so if we can get this time and date off I will be there and i will drag Wolvie with me... it may be kicking and screaming but I'll do it!!!

Just throwing this out there: Instead of Hatfield/McCoy would anyone be interested in joining up with another ATV group and heading to Jackman Maine? jackmanmaine.org/maine-atv.phpIt's just talk at this point - but if people are interested I will see if we can join up with the group going.

This is my dilemma:
I want to do some quad trip the week(end) of QF. QF is always a bust so I'm not dealing with it this year.
Possible trips: Hatfield/McCoy. This was the original plan. However, it is 10hours for me which means I have to add 2 days to any amount of riding I want to do. There are a couple that will commit to this trip. This could happen anytime.
Jackman Maine. This is an option. There is a group from Pocono Mountain ATV going and we can join up with them. There will be about 10 or more of them. It's 10hours from me and again - I will have to add 2 days of travel into the trip. That group is headed out June 26 - July 1.
Mines and Meadows. I was considering this because it is closer. It's in the Pittsburgh area which is about 4.5/5hours for me. I can make that drive in a 1/2 day which is a plus. More people might be able to make it because there is less time involved with the trip. Additionally there is a decent sized group going with Ziggy. They are headed out July 16 - July 19.
It's already mid January and we need to start making arrangements. I'm going to set up a poll and I need votes on where to go.

Ok. I added the poll. These are the options and explainations:
Hatfield/McCoy - easy. Tied for most expensive.
Jackman maine - easy. Tied for most expensive.
Mines and Meadows - easy. 2nd expensive.
Quadfest - easy. Tied for 2nd expensive.
Lost Trails - This would be a weekend/event at my house. People can all come up and crash at my place (I have a basement and camper). We can go riding at Lost Trails and hit up the DCNR land too. Cost will be very minimal for most people. It would be the second cheapest option for everyone.
South Central - This could be a weekend/event in that area. We can do riding at Micheaux, Greencastle, Former Jumperland, and maybe WB's if he is up for it. It's all the ground that we are all used to which makes me think this should really not be an option - but it would be the cheapest by a long shot for everyone.

You're welcome to try my 99 acre "playground". To review; it's 100% trails, some very tight slow stuff. Sport quads may have some problems. However, there is always a quick detour around everything you can't or may not want to ride. No dirt bikes, please. It's located about 30 minutes from Greencastle, and 6 miles off Pa Turnpike. I can't offer bogs, walls, or jumps, but there is some other fun stuff. Difficulty: beginner to advanced intermediate. Camping at nearby Cowans Gap State Park (5 miles). Food and beer: 4 miles.

I almost forgot. I have access to another riding area. My wife's 360 acres that I have trails on. It's located just 11 miles from my 99 acre playground, and just 6 miles from Pa Turnpike at Ft.Littleton. That would be aprox 40 miles from Greencastle. 3 miles from camping, food, and beer.

Wow! I got juiced just thinking about hitting up some of those places. Obviously, everyone is going to do what they want to do, but as far as Gregg, Neal, and myself, we are already committed to going to H/M around the April time frame. Neal is getting married in May and in true redneck fashion, he wants to celebrate by quading in WV shanty towns. Now I'm not speaking for the other two, but we did talk about hitting up Mines and Meadows - it looked cool, plus the place is surrounded by STEELER fans- I'm thinking win-win. ;D So, if we are just picking one, my vote is for Mines and Meadows.
